Recognising the rapid growth of small and
medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Brunei, the
Bank launched its SME Programme. The structured
programme aimed to assist SMEs in implementing
business management practices and financial
literacy, thus enhancing their competitiveness through
efficiency, productivity, and capability development.
The ultimate goal was for Bruneian businesses to
grow into well-established corporations that can
compete locally and internationally.
Offering services for a growing clientele, Baiduri Bank launched
its SME Programme in 2006 and mobile banking in 2007.
